Geschichte:
Als Nachfolger des Dino 308 GT4 wurde der von Pininfarina entworfene Mondial 8 als 2+2 Coupe sowie als 2+2 Cabriolet von 1980 bis 1993 in Maranello hergestellt. Dieses 3.2 Cabriolet gehört zur Serie der von 1985 bis 1989 hergestellten Mondial auf Basis des damals aufgerüsteten 308GTB mit dem 270 PS starken V8 Motor. Am 4. Juli 1987 wurde dieses Exemplar vom Ferrari Händler Broder im Fürstentum Liechtenstein ausgeliefert und von seinem Erstbesitzer während 20 Jahren als Genussfahrzeug gefahren und gepflegt. Der Zweitbesitzer, ein Kenner und Spezialist der Marke aus der Ostschweiz, hat den Mondial in seine Sammlung aufgenommen und 2021 wieder zurück in das Fürstentum Liechtenstein verkauft.
Karosserie und Lack:
Die Karosserie erstaunt mit seiner grossartigen Qualität und einem makellosen Lack. Eine kaum sichtbare Unregelmässigkeit an der Fahrertüre und drei ausgetupfte Steinschläge sind das Einzige, was bei der Lackinspektion zum Vorschein gekommen ist.
Interieur:
Das Interieur ist original und sehr gepflegt. Dank der geringen Fahrleistung ist die Lederqualität nach wie vor hochwertig. Der Fahrersitz zeigt zwei Spannungsfugen, die auf Wunsch ausgebessert werden können.
Motor und Mechanik:
Die regelmässigen Inspektionen sind im originalen Serviceheft ersichtlich, wo von 1987 bis 2021 jede Inspektion eingetragen ist. Eine frische MFK-Veteranenprüfung wird nach der grossen Inspektion bei Kauf absolviert.
Fahrwerk:
Unterboden, Fahrwerk und Bremsen sind unversehrt und in sehr guter Funktion. Die Prüfstandwerte zeigen auf, dass kein Handlungsbedarf besteht. Die Reifen haben ein gutes Profil, sind jedoch bereits 17 Jahre alt und werden daher bei Kauf erneuert.
Fahrerlebnis:
Der 2+2 Sitzer mit dem V8-Motor ist sowohl sportlich als auch gemütlich zu fahren. Vorne sitzt man ausgesprochen bequem, auch auf langen Strecken, die hinteren Sitze sind eher für Kinder gedacht. Die grossartige Rundumsicht im Cabrio macht unendlich viel Fahrfreude und man fühlt sich auch bei geschlossenem Verdeck wohl und sicher aufgehoben.
Empfehlung:
Wer sich einen Ferrari leisten möchte, der die Wertsteigerung noch vor sich hat, der ist mit einem gepflegten Mondial gut bedient. Wer sich zusätzlich ein Cabriolet für die Familie wünscht, der kriegt alles, was von einem Sammlerauto erwartet werden darf. Und bei einem Exemplar mit dieser Geschichte und der verhältnismässig tiefen Kilometerleistung von gerade mal 34’500, ist auch das Sammlerpotenzial garantiert.

History:
As the successor to the Dino 308 GT4, the Mondial 8 designed by Pininfarina was produced in Maranello from 1980 to 1993 as a 2+2 Coupe and a 2+2 Cabriolet. This 3.2 Cabriolet belongs to the series of Mondials produced from 1985 to 1989 based on the then upgraded 308GTB with the 270 hp V8 engine. This example was delivered by the Ferrari dealer Broder in the Principality of Liechtenstein on 4 July 1987 and was driven and maintained by its first owner as a pleasure vehicle for 20 years. The second owner, a connoisseur and specialist of the brand from eastern Switzerland, added the Mondial to his collection and sold it back to the Principality of Liechtenstein in 2021.
Bodywork and paintwork:
The bodywork amazes with its great quality and flawless paintwork. A barely visible irregularity on the driver's door and three dabbed stone chips are the only things that came to light during the paint inspection.
Interior:
The interior is original and very well maintained. Thanks to the low mileage, the leather quality is still high. The driver's seat shows two stress joints, which can be repaired on request.
Engine and mechanics:
The regular oil inspections can be found in the original service booklet, where every inspection from 1987 to 2021 is recorded. A fresh MFK veteran's inspection is carried out after the major inspection at the time of purchase.
Chassis:
The underbody, chassis and brakes are undamaged and in very good working order. The test bench values show that there is no need for action. The tyres have a good tread pattern, but are already 17 years old and will therefore be replaced at the time of purchase.
Driving experience:
The 2+2 seater with the V8 engine is both sporty and cosy to drive. The front seats are extremely comfortable, even on long journeys, while the rear seats are more suitable for children. The great all-round visibility in the convertible makes driving infinitely enjoyable and you feel comfortable and safe even when the top is down.
Recommendation:
If you want to buy a Ferrari that still has time to appreciate in value, a well-maintained Mondial is a good choice. If you also want a convertible for the family, you get everything you would expect from a collector's car. And with an example with this history and the relatively low mileage of just 34,500 kilometres, the collector's potential is also guaranteed.
